We are working with a leading IT provider and award-winning Symantec solutions specialist who are looking to recruit an experienced Information Management Consultant to join their growing team. Our client is a ‘service-centric’ organisation, delivering Master Partner services since 2001, with a portfolio that includes: Consultancy, Managed and Support Services, Training, solutions, all based on ‘best in class’ products, providing Information Management and Availability. The role of Information Management Consultant requires in-depth knowledge and experience of Enterprise Vault Archiving, Clearwell eDiscovery and Symantec Data Protection solutions. This role will provide direction in the design, implementation and support of projects to our client’s customers.
General Role Description:
- Demonstrable experience of previous consulting engagements delivered.
- Able to recommend and convey improvements to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Can clearly communicate and consult with customers, defining realistic requirements.
- Able to demonstrate expertise to customers and other key stakeholders.
- Identification and implementation of technologies, service packs and hotfixes, to improve reliability and overall system stability for the Enterprise Vault environment.
- Able to build, implement and manage products/solutions for migration of archiving environments.
- Provide assistance with problems through Root Cause Analysis.
- Test, configure and deploy operating system/software including Service Packs, upgrades, hot fixes, etc.
- Manage and participate in project lifecycle.
- Delivery of projects on time, within budget and project specification, ensuring adherence to published project management processes.
- Ability to create, design and implement documentation to support project deliverables.
- As solutions progress, advise in respect of scalability, capacity and performance.
- Proactive research of new features and versions and propose changes to existing architectures, standards, policies and procedures for review and approval.
- Ability to understand, apply and adapt (where required), fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to systems engineering and systems administration.
- Active team participation and willingness to assist with system definition and design.
- Proactively ensuring team members inclusion in all communications, project planning, requirements and decisions.
- Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
Technical Requirements:
- Significant professional experience of Symantec infrastructure solutions, Clearwell, Backup Exec or NetBackup, with some Exchange experience.
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Vault, Exchange, Active Directory.
- Must have strong working knowledge of:

- Enterprise Vault Infrastructure;
- Clearwell Infrastructure;
- Data Protection Solution;
- Server and Networking principles relating to the enterprise environment.
- Hold certification in Enterprise Vault.
- Desirable certification: NetBackup, Backup Exec and Clearwell.
- Possess strong planning and time management skills.
- Hold a full UK or EU Drivers Licence.
This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week), working primarily from home, with regular travel to client offices.
